In our traditional Christmas Banquet our beautiful hall was made even prettier with ornaments and cute christmas lights πŸŽ„ after the delicious meal we had a party in Benson hall to celebrate the end of term! βœ¨πŸ•Ί Just like the Christmas Banquet concluded Michaelmas Term, it marks the end of our Instagram throwback. We hope you enjoyed reliving some of the best moments from the past term and we‘re excited for the many new events to come in Lent Term! πŸ˜πŸŽ‰
Throughout the term we hosted „Parlour Talks“ where researchers come to our college and present their latest work, like here a documentary about Afganistan. It‘s always an exciting opportunity to find out about new fields and to get in touch with experts in a broad range of disciplines! πŸ€“πŸ’‘

Ahead of Lent Term we‘d like to share with you our highlights from the Magdalene MCR in Michaelmas! πŸ“ΈπŸ˜„ So let‘s start at the very beginning: Fresher‘s week has been a blast! πŸ’₯ We welcomed lots of new faces to Magdalene and introduced them to punting, formals, … and we even painted some mugs together! 🎨

„A Springman with Friends in The Springman“ It was a great honour to welcome Dame Sarah Springman and give her a tour in the new MCR punt named „The Springman“. Sarah Springman was one of the first female research fellows at Magdalene College in 1988 and is now Principal of St. Hilda‘s College, Oxford. Thank you for your generosity and for your visit!
