Punting is an curio exclusive to Oxford and Cambridge where people, of reasonable sanity, willingly stand on near-sinking boats and punt themselves along a river using a very long stick. Certain graduate programs require a minimum number of hours of punting on the Cam before Cambridge will officially award a full degree. The MCR fortunately owns its own punt aptly named The Bismark. During punting season one can purchase a pass to have unlimited use of our mighty vessel. Punting friends and family along with strawberrys, cream and Prosecco is a very traditional affair and thoroughly endorsed by the MCR.
Punt Season from March 1st to September 30th
