The Punting season starts on April 1st. You can find all the information about becoming a member of the punt society here.
Membership will give you unlimited access to the punt from the 1st of April to the 1st of October for a mere £15. (A half-season membership is also available.)
Thank you to all those who took part, there were lots of fantastic photos! All of the entries to the competition can be seen here. Congratulations to the winners:
1st place: Ben Sun for his photo of Magdalene from the bridge
2nd place: Wei-Yun Chung for her photo of the gardens in spring
Please be aware that thieves have been distracting students at different Cambridge libraries in order to steal cell phones off desks. University Security and police are working on this, but please watch out for your equipment.
Happy New Year!
On Friday 16th January we will be having our annual Ceilidh, jointly hosted between Magdalene and Trinity.
The Ceilidh will kick off in Magdalene Cripps Gallery after formal (aim to be there at 9.15pm) and we’ll have a live band and a caller to help
you dance the night away! Tickets (£5) will be available for Magdalenites (and your guests) at a link that will come up soon and any
left-over tickets on the door, including drinks. Numbers are limited to 120, or 60 per college, so first come, first ticketed.
Dress code. If you are going to BA before, it has to be formal. However, try not to be overly formal if it means you will have difficulties with
the dancing later. For ladies, you can have an extra pair of shoes if you want, as observations have shown that dancing in high heels can be
hazardous! If you are not going to BA, there in no dress code. Most people will be smartly dressed though.
The full term has now started and the freshers are arriving. Welcome to you all! As a celebration, we are launching a new version of the website. This should make booking for events easier for you, and updating the website easier for us. You can go and check all the upcoming events here.
Any comments/suggestions/bug reports would be welcome.
